Christmas in Fort Lauderdale

Well the month of December has been a little crazy for our family. We took the girls to see Santa at the end of Thanksgiving weekend. It didn't go as well as we thought. Neither one of the girls were excited to see Santa...Brianna finally did sit on his lap after we talked her into it but Alexis wanted no part of it. She screamed "no!" over and over again until we left the little Santa's village. So we decided to at least get their picture outside of Santa's village. Since that our family has been very involved with the Christmas pageant at our church. Paul is in it and Brianna is singing Happy Birthday Jesus. There are 19 perfomances and Brianna is singing at 11 of them. It has been an amazing experience so far...Brianna has been able to sing her heart out for Jesus. I am going to post more pictures once I download some more but here our a few. If you want check out the website for out church pageant....www.christmastickets.com Brianna in her dress when she sings

beautful pictures from the mountains....

The Kelletts and the Weinbergs on top

Brianna, Alexis, Eli and Marshall.....aren't they cute!
We took a trail to see this beautiful waterfall....it was really cold this day...so most of the time Alexis was crying..I guess she really is a Florida girl

Thanksgiving in the Smoky Mountains

We decided to take a family vacation to Gatlinburg the week of Thanksgiving. We did not have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner but being in the mountains was a good trade off. The girls had such a good time seeing all the fall colors and feeling the cool weather. We were able to see two families that have moved from Florida to Tennesee...it was great to catch up with them.

Paul has grown a beard because he is in the Christmas Pageant at our church. I am not too sure I like it.

A trip to Orlando

I am a little behind...it is almost December and I am putting up a post from October..oh well....
Anyways we took a trip to Orlando with another family from our church who was so nice to share one of their condos with us. We had a wonderful time. They have three girls so Brianna had so much fun playing with the older girls. We went to Sea World for three days..where Brianna discovered a new friend in Shamu!! Then we ended the week going to Mickey's not so scary Halloween party. That was also fun...we had some other friends join us so we were at the park with 11 kids!! Just a little chaos!! It was fun and of course we got lots of candy!!

Sunday School Harvest Party

Our Sunday School class every year does a harvest party. The kids can come dressed up and we play games and do activities. This year the kids were able to bring there bikes along and there was a great little bike path to ride on. All the kids were dressed so cute!

Happy Birthday Jesus

Our church does an amazing Christmas Pageant every year. In this pageant there is a song called Happy Birthday Jesus, every year they pick either a 3, 4, or 5 year old to perform. This process is a little intense. The children learn the song then a our given an audition time at church. At the church they get a mic on and are then escorted into the sanctuary(which is dark with a spotlight)where they stand on the stage and sing the whole song to a track and at the same time are being recorded. After the first audition there are callbacks which at that time they pick two children to be the primary singer and the backup. There are 19 performances of the Christmas Pageant...so it is a big commitment. So...we got Brianna interested in this and she was so excited to go and sing this song at church. I was able to watch her from the balcony, but I could not take pictures and I had to be so careful that she couldn't see me. It was a great experience for her. She did a great job, she had no fear..she got up on that stage and sang beautifully...and of course she was singing for Jesus:)

Happy Halloween

I wanted to take some pictures of the girls in fall colors. Well, when you have a 17 month old..it is pretty hard to get a decent picture taken. So I decided to have Alexis sit in the basket...this seemed to keep her in one place...for a couple minutes!

Just like big sis

Alexis has been watching Brianna stand up on this stool in the mornings to get her hair done. Well she has decided now that she wants to be just like Brianna. It is so cute. I will say "Lexi..do you want to do your hair?" and she will come running into the bathroom and stand on the stool so still while I do her hair. That is how I managed to get those three ponytails in!:)

Girls Night Out

The other night I went out with some friends that go to our church to celebrate some birthdays. We had a really good time talking and laughing...but I think we all really enjoyed the food at the Cheesecake Factory! I could never get tired of that restaurant:)

What a model!

I sell children's clothes for a company called Kelly's Kids. I wanted Brianna to try a couple of things on so I could see how the clothes fit, and then I could help customers decided on the right sizes. Well Brianna took the opportunity to start her modeling career. She was showing me a new move with each outfit. Too cute!

tender loving care

Alexis is teething and has had a temperature for the past couple of days. Daddy tried to soothe her with a little music and love.

New bike rider

Brianna has learned how to ride a bike. She loves to ride the bike in our neighborhood...but she still has a little trouble turning so she has wiped out several times. Even when she falls she still loves to get up and get back on!

Our new tennis star

Brianna started tennis lessons this fall. She likes it and is so proud of herself when she actually does hit the ball! Mom and Dad are pretty proud of her too:)

What we've been up to this summer

The Weinberg family has decided to join the rest of you and create a blog. I have been very inspired looking at all our friends bloggers. I decided to start our blog off with a trip we just took to Evart, MI over labor day weekend. We really enjoyed spending time with family and playing outside in the country. The weather was beautiful. We had so many great pictures outside but of course I only included a couple.

Brianna with two of her cousins....Jessica and Sarah MacCullum

Alexis loved Al and Jenny's dog Boulder. She would follow him wherever he went. We knew that if we needed Alexis to come we would just call Boulder:)!

Alexis checking out all the different things the country has to offer!

Pray time before the meals. This is one of my favorite pictures.
